在我所赖忠平研究员的带领下，光释光实验室9人（其中有两名客座博士生）参加了近日在北京举办的第12届国际释光和电子自旋共振测年学术大会。我所赖忠平研究员是大会组委会成员。
国际释光和电子自旋共振测年学术大会自1978年在英国牛津召开以来，历届均在欧美国家举行，此次是第一次在亚洲国家举行。本届大会主席由2008 Appleton奖获得者、英国Ann Wintle教授担任，出席此次会议有《Quaternary Geochronology》的杂志主编，澳大利亚国立大学的Rainer Grun教授，印度的Ashok Singhvi教授，和丹麦Riso国家实验室的Andrew Murray教授等国际著名学者。
在这次国际会议上，我所光释光测年实验室共提交并被接受了八篇论文。赖忠平研究员作了题为“Silt-sized quartz OSL dating of loess from East China and its implications for
paleoenvironmental changes”的报告。隆浩作了题为“Applicability of a common growth curve for De determination of >300 Gy on quartz OSL
of lacustrine sediments from the Qaidam Basin, China”的墙报；樊启顺作了题为“High lake-levels in the MIS 5 inferred from OSL dating of lacustrine sediments in Gahai lake, Qaidam Basin,
Northern Tibetan Plateau in China”的墙报；孙永娟作了题为“Luminescence dating of a Paleolithic site in Xiao Qaidam lake of the Qaidam basin in China and its
implications for paleoenvironmental changes”的墙报；刘向军作了题为“Timing for high lake levels of Qinghai lake in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau based on quartz optically stimulated luminescence dating”的墙报；欧先交（华南师大博士生）作了题为“Optically stimulated luminescence dating of late Quaternary glacial sediments
in the northern Hengduan Mountains in China”的墙报；何忠（中科院地环所博士生）作了题为“Late Pleistocene sand dune
activities and climatic change along a northwest-southeast transect in the Mu Us desert based on
luminescence dating and multi-proxy study”的墙报。赖忠平研究员的德国合作者Knut Kaiser博士与赖忠平等一起作了题为“Late Pleistocene genesis of the middle Yarlung Zhangbo Valley,
southern Tibet (China), as deduced by sedimentological
and luminescence data”的墙报。研究生刘凯和于录鹏也参加了这次国际会议。
在为期5天的会议中，国内外学者作了几十场精彩的学术报告，并且进行了两次热烈的展板参观讨论。此次参加国际学术会议，促进了我所研究人员及研究生与释光测年及其应用研究领域国内外科学家的学术交流，使我们掌握了国际释光测年及其应用研究领域等发展的最新动态。
